Swimwear for Curvy Women: Tips and Tricks

Most women find it difficult to believe that the majority of men prefer curvy women to extremely thin ones.

Of course, this is no excuse to stop exercising and start gaining weight, not only because that would make us lose confidence in ourselves, but also to stay fit and avoid certain foods which are the basis of a healthy lifestyle.

However, you don’t need to kill yourself in the gym, because you might end up losing those curves that make you a woman and make you feel confident about yourself.

On the contrary, depending on the specific shape of your body, you might want to learn a few tips which will help you to learn how you can highlight your curves whilst hiding your body’s critical shapes (and remember, every single human walking on this planet has some of those).

Now, if your hips are curvy but your waist is small, there’s a lot you can do with your body. First, you should improve your waist by choosing a bikini without metallic rings or adjustable ties at the sides. Such details would draw peoples attention to your hips. Also, it would be wise to choose a black bikini, or perhaps one featuring a very eccentric pattern.
Here are two examples:

If you are unable to flatten your stomach before summer, a black monokini is the best way to conceal that soft roundness whilst enhancing your hips, breasts and bottom.

Make sure that the monokini’s top is not square-shaped, because you want to pump up those curves and leave everybody breathless when hitting the beach.

However, let’s now talk about slightly overweight women. If you fall into this category, you have probably noticed that there are clothes that make you look slimmer and others that make you appear incredibly wider. Well the same applies to swimwear. A bikini with horizontal stripes would enlarge your figure, but that is not necessarily bad.

In fact, the strength of overweight women lies in their full breasts and bottoms, while their most common weakness lies in those few extra kilos on their bellies and hips.

So, in order to maximize their strengths and minimize their weaknesses, these women should stick to the following rules:

  1. Always wear padded tops
  2. Avoid colorful bikinis, go for plain colored ones. Black is strongly preferred.
  3. If you like horizontal stripes, buy a stripes top and match it with a totally black bottom
  4. Bandeau tops are fine, especially if embellished with shiny details (metallic rings, jewels…)
  5. Avoid strapless tops. If you opt for a bandeau top, make sure it is provided with a removable lace to tie behind the neck.
  6. Skirted bottoms are ok, as long as they are not composed of more layers, as they would significantly widen your hips.

Keep these few tips in mind and you will look amazing in your swimsuit, no matter what your size is!
